Goals and Visions
In the face of societal and political upheavals, more and more people are drawn to the south – to places where lush vegetation, a mild climate, and structurally weaker regions open up new opportunities. The Peloponnese seems to us an ideal place to shape a new world: nature-connected, community-oriented, and future-focused.
The beaches, riverbanks, and healing springs in the region are places of encounter, healing, and inspiration, where we create cultural oases and spaces for personal development, vibrant togetherness, and a respectful interaction with nature. Our goal is an autonomous network of self-sufficient communities, guided by lightness, joy, love, and peaceful communication.
We strive for a life of solidarity in connection, joy, acceptance, and independence. Embedded in the rich nature of Greece, with its clear springs, fertile soils, deeply rooted cultures, and the warm openness of the local people. In the long term, we want to lead a life in harmony with nature: largely self-sufficient, organized communally, and independent of monetary systems.
A central principle of our way of living is social threefolding, which is highly valued in our community as well.
What that means, you can read in our…
Guiding Values
Our guiding values are based on the ideals of social threefolding according to Rudolf Steiner. In doing so, we consciously organize our values into three central areas of life: freedom, equality, and fraternity.
In our context, these terms are not to be understood as the political slogans of the French Revolution of 1789, but as the foundation for a new social coexistence and refer to:
- Freedom in cultural life:
Space for individual development, creativity, and spiritual growth.
- Equality in social life:
Justice, transparency, and equal treatment of one another. - Fraternity in economic life:
Commitment to the common good, solidarity in action, and collaborative economic activity.
In this way, we create a way of living based on trust, compassion, and the active co-creation of a sustainable society.
In our Words:
Freedom in Cultural Life (Culture & Education)
Self-Understanding & Values
With joy, we shape our being and celebrate an exchange of our observations and insights. In energetic connection, we bring the virtues of truth, beauty, and goodness into the world. For everyone present, it is natural that the values and vision of the community project “Kampus Velika” serve as a foundation.
Education & Cultural Exchange
We maintain connections with our neighbors, friends, and like-minded people from all walks of life.
We create a network of synergy beyond the framework of the community and, in this sense, embark on a new path.
The campus provides space for educational offerings, lectures, and workshops – for young and old alike.
Individual Growth
We take responsibility for creating a harmonious environment through peaceful coexistence.
We meet one another honestly, appreciatively, and mindfully.
Equality in Legal life:
Community Life & Organization
Everyone present actively and positively participates in community life. We aim to contribute at least four hours daily, flexibly and with consideration for individual life rhythms, to activities, project work, and household tasks. Our daily routine is reflected upon together after dinner, and the plan for the following day is discussed.
The following points serve as a framework to guide the daily schedule:
- Breakfast circle
- Project work from Monday to Friday
- Cooking together & dinner
- Task distribution for the following day
Behavioral Culture with Ideals
We have a humane code of conduct as guidance for a constructive contribution to the development and maintenance of our campus.
We actively contribute with ideas and motivation.
We respect the work of others.
We practice self-responsibility in all areas of life.
We help one another when support is desired.
We are aware of the importance of attentive and caring treatment of our own space and the space of others.
We preserve friendship and well-being.
Handling of Material Values
It goes without saying to leave rooms, tools, kitchen utensils, etc., clean and in better condition than they were found.
Tools frm the workshop are to be used according to agreement and instruction, and returned cleaned.
Anyone using rented living spaces or the available facilities is responsible for keeping them clean and maintaining them.
In case of defects or damages, we ask that the person responsible for the respective area be informed.
Accompaniment of Children
Families with children are welcome.
We respect the world of children as an important part of our community.
We provide them with a carefully considered space to experience themselves individually and to develop.
Children are entitled to the attention of their parents or a designated responsible adult.
Interaction with Animals
The living space of all beings is to be treated with care and respect.
We enjoy the harmonizing presence of our cats.
Dogs brought along must generally be kept on a leash. Stray dogs are not tolerated on the campus due to past experiences.
Handling of Stimulants
Conscious and moderate use of alcohol and nicotine is tolerated.
Smoking and alcohol are not allowed in communal areas.
In private spaces, the consumption of stimulants is free at one’s own discretion, as long as it does not affect the community.
We raise awareness within the community to create and maintain an atmosphere of trust.
Fraternity in Economic Life
Nutrition and Sustainable Supply
Life on the campus is based on a healthy, organic vegetarian diet without chemical additives.
The cultivation and care of plants and orchards is carried out naturally and organically, using permaculture, forest gardening, and biocyclic-vegan methods.
